The California Office of State Printing dwarfs most in-plants, but don't be fooled — it faces the same kind of issues as the "average" in-plant. OSP employs nearly 480 full time staff, including more than 100 in the pressroom, about 125 in the bindery, 70 in prepress and the others divided among warehouse, front office, fulfillment and other suup-port areas. The facility produces tax forms, voter registration guides, letterhead, driver handbooks and the Governor's budget. OSP produces as many as 25.3 million sad dlestitched and 2.8 million perfect bound booklets each year — all on an annual budget of $70 million.
