摘要

A new aerosol filtration apparatus based on pulse-jet cleaning has been designed and used for studying the effects of area density, needling density, particle size and face velocity on filtration performance of needle-punched polyester filter fabrics. The filtration performance associated with a change in each variable has been assessed through the measured values of filtration efficiency and pressure drop across the filter. It is observed that the filtration efficiency of nonwoven needle- punched fabric is higher for higher fabric area density.
