摘要

Kayongo and his famiiy fled a civil war in Uganda and settled in the U.S. when he was just ten years old. Kayongo, a successful entrepreneur and renowned expert in environmental sustainability and global health, is the founder of the Global Soap Project: a program that takes donated, melted, purified and reprocessed hotel soap and redistributes it to vulnerable populations around the world. Today, his program is active in 32 countries and has given away more than two million bars of soap to refugees. Currently, there are 1,500 hotels that are members of the Global Soap Project Recycling program in the United States alone, and the list of participating countries is continuing to expand.
