Philadelphia SmartCEO magazine issued an Executive Management Award to Glenn A. Aust, director of engineering at Ehmke Manufacturing Company Inc., a Philly-based manufacturer of industrial textiles for aerospace applications. Aust was featured in the March/April 2014 issue for his oversight of engineering operations, cost-cutting initiatives and strategic planning expertise. He also oversees a team of employees that travels to military bases to help retrofit interiors of existing ro torcraft and fixed-wing aircraft-and has encouraged team members to assume greater responsibility and learn to take flight. "Every day, come to work and work as though you own the company," says Aust.
