Dubai, one of the seven Arab emirates on the Persian Gulf, is prosperous and progressive, and it shows in the city of Burj, where construction of the world's tallest building (150 stories and climbing) will be completed in 2008. During the holy month of Ramadan, the most important religious celebration in Islam, daytime fasting among Muslims ends in evening gatherings in tents famous for food, family and hospitality. Windows in the unique tent at the Bastakiah Old Town Cafe frame the breathtaking skyline and growing megatower.
