Radiant Energy Systems Inc., Hawthorne, N.J., allows customers to run trials on new processes and materials with its new Pilot Coating Line. The pilot line runs water-based coatings on materials with roll diameters of 24 inches and web widths up to 26 inches. Drying options include infrared (gas or electric), infrared air, impingement and flotation, with modular design for a quick switch to different heaters or nozzles. Short, medium and long wavelength options give customers a wide array of testing choices.
