The biggest issue that industrial emergency response teams face when specifying foam are the consequential losses for production if they do not choose the right product to fight the fire, says Jan Knappert, International Sales Director for Dr Sthamer-Hamburg: "Another issue is, do they have adequate runoff and containment measures in place? Facilities should constantly ask themselves these questions, when they have changes in their production, systems or products. However, it doesn't always happen in practice, and neglect is also at the root of most incidents."
