Your business is up and running, your Zoom meetings are on point, and your clients/customers are multiplying beyond your wildest dreams-now what? Small Business Trends reports that there are more than 30.7 million small businesses in the U.S., per the Small Business Administration. That's 99.9% of all businesses in the country. And for many entrepreneurs, navigating the startup playing field often takes more than a physical toll. It can impact an individual's mental and emotional well-being, as they work hard to become successful. Self-care is what is needed, but how do you fit it in? The easy answer is by creating balance. However, those whose small business is a "side hustle for now"-and/or have a family to take care of in addition to work-need to learn how to breathe, before they master the art of balance. Time to put on your own oxygen mask first, folks! The following are a few ideas to help you take those much-needed breaks (yes, plural!) without the guilt. Some may not sound like they would work for you, but trust me, any energy you invest in yourself first will provide a return that will help guarantee success.
