The beautiful city of Auckland, New Zealand, was the venue for the THE-TA (The Higher Education Technology Agenda) 2017 conference, held May 7-10. The organizers describe the biennial event as "unique in that it attracts a comprehensive range of practitioners and senior decision makers across the whole spectrum of Information Technology, Teaching and Learning, Library and Knowledge Management in tertiary education and research." The Council of Australasian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT), CAUL (Council of Australian University Librarians), and ACODE (Australasian Council on Open, Distance and e-Learning) run the conference, and universities across Australasia host it.
