My brain is so full of words to songs, I practically know a tune for any topic. Since John Denver is not only my all-time favorite singer, but someone I greatly admired for his humanitarian work, when I decided to devote this month's column to how North American info pros are addressing the influx of Syrians displaced by war, these lyrics quickly came to mind: "This is for the refugees, the ones without a home. A boat out on the ocean, a city street alone" ("Falling Leaves," Higher Ground, 1988). As columnists from Internet@Schools and Online Searcher show, there are myriad ways to offer Syrian refugees help and hope as they begin their lives in a new homeland.
