In June 2014, Information Today covered the best practices for securing the Internet of Things (IoT)-the idea that everyday objects can be imbued with computing power in order to connect with other objects. In the past year, the general public has become more aware of the IoT because of products such as the Fit-bit fitness tracker and the Apple Watch. Apple hasn't released sales figures yet, but an estimate from CNET says the company could sell more than 36 million watches in their first year of release.
