For decades, the world has looked at the U.S. and Europe as leaders in research output. But the research landscape has changed in the past few years with emerging players that are having a tremendous impact on the volume of citations, papers, R&D, and patents. "Building Bricks: Exploring the Global Research and Innovation Impact of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Korea," a new report from Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science business by Jonathan Adams, David Pendlebury, and Bob Stembridge, cuts to the core of the changing R&D environment during the past 10 years. The report filters data from Thomson Reuters' myriad resources to provide a rich foundation to analyze the statistics from these five emerging BRICK countries.
