Universities may be skilled at turning out a record number of scholars each year, but they may not be as savvy in knowing what key research is being done within their own hallowed walls or by whom.That's where Thomson Reuters' Research In View steps in, with details about an institution's faculty, ongoing research, and intellectual assets for an in-depth look at the big picture. It's been nearly a year since Research In View was officially launched in February 2011 as part of the Thomson Reuters Research Analytics portfolio. But in 2012, the first colleges will be implementing this state-of-the-art hosted solution, which is billed as an enterprisewide solution for collecting, connecting, and managing scholarly activities across institutions.
