Libraries have a problem: Between reductions in staff and budgets, they are struggling to promote their services and events effectively to their communities, says Nancy Dowd, project lead of Library-Aware, a new service from NoveList, part of EBSCO Publishing.rnThis new service, which will be available in June, is a solution for stand-alone libraries, as well as branches and consortia.rnThe latest research indicates that in order for libraries to get the kind of support they need, "[T]heir community has to recognize them as an institution of transforming life," Dowd says.
