In late June, my boss suggested that I attend a 2-day virtual conference offered by the American Library Association (ALA) in mid-July. Always eager for any new and exciting experience (especially one that did not require any traveling or particular effort on my part), I agreed.But don't panic, dear readers. Your trips to Information Today, Inc. conferences are not imperiled. I am reliably informed that the company does not intend to go virtual-only in its conference planning. In fact, there are no immediate plans to do any virtual conferences. So it's back to Monterey, Calif.; New York, N.Y.; London, England; or even a resort town with a good spa and great golf facilities.
