Last August, Elsevier introduced its SciVerse Hub platform for scientific researchers with a trio of search-and-discovery applications for starters. By last November, Elsevier delivered what it had promised right on time, adding more apps and a SciVerse Applications Beta module. There are now more than a dozen apps that the SciVerse Hub team and several third-party developers have created for the SciVerse Hub, a platform that offers a one-stop single search across SciVerse Science-Direct, SciVerse Scopus, SciVerse SciTopics Beta, and relevant third-party content. "We wanted to offer a few examples that show the capability of the apps in the framework," says Rafael Sidi, vice president of product management for ScienceDirect at Elsevier.
