S tarting a new conference, particularly in this troubled economic environment, requires courage, imagination, and a dash of audacity. Information industry veteran Arnoud de Kemp, managing partner for the consulting firm digiprimo GmbH and publisher at Akademische Verlags-gesellschaft AKA, has these qualities in abundance. Seeing a need for a conference devoted to the German-speaking information community, he created Informare!, which debuted in early May 2011 in Berlin.
