As we enter the second decade of the 21st century, we continue to witness how the digital, networked ecosystem we inhabit disrupts traditional ways of communicating in information-intensive industries. Scholarship is no different. Yet, academics themselves seem not to realize how these changes are affecting their research, their writings, and ultimately, their route to tenure.
