The one-size-fits-all concept may work for some but not for everyone. These days, users want to customize data according to their own needs. That's the mission behind Thomson Reuters' Global Institutional Profiles Project: to create a single database with thousands of data-driven portraits of global institutions and research facilities that can be customized according to user need. The vetted profiles will blend peer review, scholarly outputs, citation patterns, funding levels, and faculty characteristics in one database for a more accurate view of how an institution compares to other facilities around the globe.
