Outsell, Inc. announced that the Gilbane Group joined Outsell in early February. Part of Outsell's strategic plan has been to offer deeper coverage of content software technology to serve publishers and information providers as well as enterprise information management clients. The addition of the Gilbane Group gives the consulting firm a greater reach for enterprises dedicated to content technology and provides a broader platform to deliver complete solutions to their clients. The organization will now be called the Gilbane Group, a division of Outsell, Inc., and will continue its leadership under president Frank Gilbane, along with Gilbane's analysts and consultants: Mary Laplante, vice president of client services and senior analyst, and Bill Trippe, vice president of content strategies and lead analyst. This is Outsell's third transaction since its founding in 1998. In 2006, Outsell acquired EPS (Electronic Publishing Services Ltd.) of London, and in 2008, the firm acquired the business research division of Eduventures.
