Google acquired BumpTop, a startup that creates software designed to enhance PC and Mac desktops. BumpTop's software boosts traditional PC desktop environments by transforming them into 3D spaces more evocative of a physical desktop, allowing users to push and pull,rnpile up, and otherwise interact with desktop icons and items. The company raised about $1.65 million in funding prior to its acquisition, relying on two venture capital (VC) firms and a number of individual angel investors.
