SLA member Stacey Greenwell has been selected to receive the Special Library Association's Dow Jones Leadership Award for 2010. As associate dean for academic affairs and research at the University of Kentucky (UK), she is being honored for her many contributions to the SLA Kentucky chapter, her work at UK, and her leadership as founder and first chair of the SLA Academic Division.rnGreenwell, who has been an active member of SLA since 2001, is an "ideal example of leadership, engagement, innovation and service in our association," according to Anne Caputo, 2010 SLA president. At UK, Greenwell directs the administration of public services at the William T. Young Library and nine branchrnlocations. She was instrumental in coordinating the UK Information Commons (aka the Hub), a student space that combined a technology help desk, a computer lab, and traditional library reference services.
