Now, now, calm down. I know times are tough, but are things so bad that when I say "the next to go," the only place that comes to mind is a hangman's scaffold? I must admit that there may be one advantage to such gloomy thoughts. As Samuel Johnson so wisely observed, "The realisation that one is to be hanged in the morning concentrates the mind wonderfully." And a little concentrated thought certainly couldn't hurt in these tough times. In fact, anyone who plans on going someplace nice (or even anyone who wants to just keep going) would do well to have a good strategy in mind and the concentration needed to make it work.
