Recordings of Grateful Dead concerts, digitized home movies, more than 1 million electronic books, conserved copies of pages that were on the web 12 years ago-these are. Just a few of the artifacts you'll find when you explore the collections at the Internet Archive. It's a trove of digital treasures that might have been lost in the electronic ether if the archive's curators hadn't preserved them. But who would ever need to watch a digital copy of a film about the dangers of sneezing that was produced in 1948 by the British National Health Service? Why would anyone want to see a Yahoo! Page from 2001? And why would anyone want to read an electronic facsimile of an 1860 book called Notes on Nursing: What It Is and What It Is Not?
