The Society for Scholarly Publish-ing's annual meeting held in late May in Baltimore was certainly packed with information. In fact, a session titled Publishing 2.0: Tools and Technologies Shaping the Future of Publishing provided valuable insight into how technology is impacting publishing. Attendees were actually invited to leave their cell phones on so they could participate in instantaneous polling and respond to questions as their opinions were displayed to the audience in real time.
