Cormine Intelligent Data has a rich heritage in the field of data discovery and analysis. After all, its parent companies were Earl Industries, LLC (a subcontractor for the U.S. Navy) and Perfect Commerce (a leader in procurement-related services). Cormine Intelligent Data, which emerged in 2006 as a joint venture between these two brain trusts, recently released Zoogma, a commercial search platform that ferrets out data wherever it is hiding.rnZoogma lets users cut to the chase when it comes to collecting and analyzing data. "Keywords help you find what you know, but how do you find what you don't know," says Alex Emmermann, general manager at Cormine. He explains that Zooema's search platform uses statisticsrnand natural language processing (NLP) to dig for clues in unstructured text and makes those clues searchable. "Zoogma takes data in, and puts intelligence out," according to the website.
