Yahoo! released a statement that said Microsoft's $40 billion-plus offer "substantially undervalues" YahooPs brand, audience, investments, and potential business. The vote against the offer was unanimous by Yahoo!'s board of directors. This represents the largest bid offered by Microsoft as well as the first unsolicited takeover that it has made.
