While it may seem that simply everyone is blogging these days, that's not quite the case. A recent study by BIGresearch shows that 26% of the U.S. population blogs occasionally or regularly The old stereotypes of bloggers being computer geeks, college students with too much time and too much to say, or the unemployed just aren't true. According to the study, today's bloggers are younger (average age of 37.6 years, compared with 44.8 years for the overall U.S. population) and better educated (14.3 years of education versus 14.2) than the rest of the U.S. population, but they earn less too ($55,819 versus $56,811). Other facts? The composition of bloggers is 53.7% male, 44.7% are married, 10.4% are students, and 28.4% have a professional or a managerial position.
