ProQuest inked the deal to acquire Thomson Reuters' Dialog business in mid-June. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ProQuest CEO Marty Kahn says that Dialog is a respected source and trusted brand for librarians, and as such, "it is an exceptionally good fit in the ProQuest family." Dialog products and services have direct operations in 27 countries worldwide. Kahn says that ProQuest plans to refresh Dialog platforms to meet the changing needs of today's information professional. New products leveraging Dialog's precision search tools and new content will also be included in ProQuest's initiative for Dialog. ProQuest is part of Cambridge Information Group.
