David Pendlebury is a bit of a clairvoyant when it comes to Nobel Prize winners. Actually, his predictions are more scientific than mysterious. As the citation analyst and bib-liometrician for the Scientific business of Thomson Reuters, he relies on data from the ISI Web of Knowledge to calculate the "most influential researchers" who are likely to win awards in the Nobel Prize categories of physiology or medicine, physics, and chemistry, as well as the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
