In my November 2006 column, I covered a flood of online video news. Recently, nearly nonstop announcements about video services are -appearing as companies endeavor to make money from the content—much of it user generated—flooding onto the Net. Not surprisingly, the dominant themes in most of the announcements are monetization and entertainment.
