The world annually produces more than 800 megabytes of recorded information per person— the equivalent of about 30 feet of books if all that data was stored on paper. And according to a study done at the University of California-Berkeley (http ://www. sims .berkeley .edu/research/projects/how-much-info-2003), the amount of information produced in the world increases by 30 percent every year.
