Just when we thought security efforts to curtail breaches were taking hold, the Reuters news agency reported in May that a laptop had been stolen from an Aetna employee's car. [Editor's Note: See Shirl Kennedy's column on page 17 for more on this story.] The computer contained personal information on about 38,000 members who were employees from two companies that were Aetna customers, including names, addresses, and Social Security numbers.
