In mid-August, more than 4,000 librarians from around the world arrived in Seoul, South Korea. The occasion was the IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) World Library and Information Congress, which was returning to Asia for the first time since 1999 when the conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand.
