About twice a month, I get an e-mail from one of our edi-tors or authors that usually bears the subject line "Quick Question" (insert ominous musical chord here). The message generally reads something like this: "Hey, I was just out surfing the Web, and I found a copy of the article I wrote for XYZ Magazine posted at this (pick your adjective—unusual/ bizarre/crazy/wacky) Web site (http://www...). Is this copy legal?" It may be a quick question to ask, but when it comes to copy- right, there is no such thing as a quick answer.
