Content producers and providers are being buffeted by a number offerees. Users who expect to find everything on the Web and expect it to be accessible through the "great Google gateway" have caused a number of content providers to find ways to have their content surface in general search engines. Some observers have said that if your content isn't visible on the open Web, you're dead. Advances in technology, "Internet time," and content ubiquity have created additional pressures. Some predicted that we would see the death of traditional media from the rise of blogs and RSS, but we now see some traditional media outlets embracing new technologies and transforming their businesses. These challenges are causing changes to our content creation and distribution models.
