In the past few years, there has been plenty of controversy over library science education. Is the library school curriculum too practical? Too theoretical? How should these two aspects be balanced? What is the place of continuing education once information professionals are in the field? How can we keep up with new technology let alone prepare ourselves to move into managerial positions? These questions won't be answered overnight. However, the authors of Challenges in Li-brarianship: A Casebook for Educators and Professionals have some valuable suggestions. They encourage the use of the case method in library education.
