摘要

This year, I will dispense my cheers and jeers to organizations, products, and/or services that have done the most and least in helping users quickly and efficiently find the most promising licensed and/or open access databases on the topics they are interested in. This is an increasingly important issue, as the number of databases available for information professionals and novice end users keeps increasing. As for large academic and public libraries and their consortia, several hundred databases from dozens of hosts (e.g., commercial online aggregator services, journal publishers) may be subscribed to.
