Plasticity Evaluation of Structural Steels by Uniform Tensile Stage Parameters

摘要

The mechanical properties at tension of samples made of Armco iron and a wide range of structural steels are studied in different structural-phase states. It is shown that using different hardening mechanisms leads to nonuniform reduction in plastic characteristics at uniform and localized deformation stages. Tensile curves are analyzed in conventional and true coordinates, and it is established that, when the uniform stage is partitioned into linear and exponential periods, the best analytical description of experimental tensile curves with R ~(2)= 0.99 is achieved. The plasticity parameters at the linear and exponential periods sensitive to variation in the initial structural-phase state of metal are proposed.
