Crystallization in the LiOH-TiO_2-GeO_2-GeO_2-H_2O and LiOH-SnO_2-GeO_2-H_2O hydrothermal systems was studied at 500 deg. C and 0.1 Gpa. The phases crystallizing in the Ti system are Li_2Ti~[5]Ge~[4]O_5, Li_2Ge~[6]Ge_2 ~[4]O_6(OH)_2, Li_3Hge_4 ~[6]Ge_3 ~[4]O_16·4H_2O, and Li_2Ge~[4]O_3 (Ge in four-or sixfold oxygen coordination, And Ti in fivefold oxygen coordination). Over a wide range of TiO_2: GeO_2 molar ratios (6:1 to 1:1), the dom- Inant phase is Li_2Ge~[6]Ge_2~[4]O_6(OH)_2. At higher GeO_2 contents (TiO_2:GeO_2=1:2 to 1:6), both Li_2Ti~[5]Ge~[4]O_5 and Li_2Ge~[6]Ge_2 ~[4]O_6(OH)_2 crystallize.
