A technique is proposed for fabricating diamond-SiC-Si composites via chemical reactions between silicon and carbon directly in the green compact at pressures no higher than 10~5 Pa. An important advantage of the process is the ability to fabricate complex-shaped bodies from diamond-containing composites exhibiting unique mechanical properties.
