In recent years, extensive protein-protein interaction research has led to the elucidation of protein molecular interaction networks. Recognition and binding of proteins have accelerated progress in the field of proteomics. Molecules capable of differentiating between large numbers of proteins in biological specimens, such as whole blood, serum, and plasma, are essential for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in the healthcare sector. In nature, protein-protein interactions and protein-mediated molecular interactions in biochemical pathways are crucial for sustaining biological systems. More importantly, high affinity and specificity of protein recognition are essential for achieving high efficacy, minimizing risk of side effects of therapeutic compounds, and for accurate molecular binding and quantification of biomarkers detection for utilizing as diagnostic tools. For application in systems biology and the discovery of new biomarkers, proteomics analysis relies on multiplexed detection techniques by high-throughput' proteins, captured on chips that require specific high-affinity recognition elements.
