FERC last week corrected its FY-18 budget request after discovering that a table in the budget document sent to Congress May 23 had been mislabeled. The correction did not affect the overall request for $367.6 million for FY-18, up $48.4 million or 15.2% from FY-17. Rather, it made clear how the funding would be allocated to certain "major categories." A table in the original budget document had jumbled the labels for line items representing FERC's planned spending on rent, information technology and environmental and program contracts.
