The Pentagon will permanently station Gray Eagle drones in South Korea, Defense Department Capt. Jeff Davis said Monday, a week after a series of North Korean missile launches landed in the Sea of Japan. "The U.S. Army, after coordination with the Republic of Korea armed forces and the U.S. Air Force, is beginning the process to permanently station a Gray Eagle unmanned aerial system company at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, to begin some time early next year," Davis said. "The stationing of this company, which will be assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade of the 2nd Infantry Division directly supports the U.S. Army's strategic plan to add one Gray Eagle company to each division in the Army."
