Best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis on the ABC TV show Desperate Housewives, EvaLongoria has long been a social activist and a philanthropist. In 2012 the Texas-raised actress, whose family is of Mexican heritage, started the Eva Longoria Foundation, which aims to help "Latinas build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship."
