Large organizations that do a bit of everything often get bad press. They risk being seen as jacks of all trades but masters of none. Yet the French investment house Amundi, which with €1.0 trillion ($1.1 trillion) of assets is one of the world's biggest non-U.S. investment managers, is trying to become more rather than less comprehensive.
