Samruk-Kazyna JSC is the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Kazakhstan. The Government of Kazakhstan is the sole shareholder of the Fund. The Prime-Minister heads the Board of Directors. The Board itself consists of head directors, independent directors and the Chief Executive Officer. The Fund has close collaboration with the Government of Kazakhstan and holds an important role in developing governmental supported programs. Due to its scale and strategic importance to the region as a whole, Samruk-Kazyna provides an important input to the formulation of legal regulations and policies in the region.
