Engineering is one of the most coveted university degrees in Spain, and it shows. The country's engineers are forging a layer of successful niche companies with good growth potential. Beyond its world-class banks, Spain is best known for its telecom, infrastructure and renewable energy companies - all heavy on the engineers.rnGamesa and Abengoa are both engineering and technology plays on the renewable energy sector. Gamesa manufactures wind turbines while Abengoa is a technology company that provides services to the solar and biofuel businesses, among others.
