Venezuela enjoys major competitive supply advantages in the face of growing oil and gas demand. This is very significant, especially from the standpoint of Western Hemisphere energy security. We have been a major international source of oil for more than 80 years. Right now we are the 5th largest provider of hydrocarbons in the world and the 3rd largest provider to the United States, where we supply more than 15 percent of U.S. crude oil and refined product imports. In the future, Venezuela will also become a strong LNG producer and exporting power to continue to increase our energy supply to the United States.
