HOLDER OF INTERNET DOMAIN NAMES ENGAGED IN A BAD FAITH ATTEMPT AS A 'CYBERSQUATTER' TO PROFIT FROM THE 'TRUMP' MARK
A domain name holder of Internet domain names such as "trumpbeijing," and "trumpmumbai" engaged in a bad faith attempt as a "cybersquatter" to profit from the "TRUMP" mark. The domain name holder had never used any iteration of "trump" in his business, and the mark was unrelated to his business. Furthermore, the domain name holder had previously been involved in litigation for identical behavior with domain names that were confus-ingly similar to the marks of other business entities, and the holder had purchased the domain names "trumpmumbai" and "trumpin-dia" shortly after the "TRUMP" mark registrant had announced real estate developments in India. See Web-aduiso v. Trump, 2013 WL 763746 (E.D. N.Y. 2013).
